Elections...
I believe abortion is the biggest issue to consider when you vote tomorrow. In this two party system, Obama or McCain will win the presidency and Shaffer or Udall will win the senate seat.
The question to ask is, under what candidate will the unborn have a better chance to live.
Remember, we only have three choices:
1. Vote for Obama
2. Vote for McCain
3. Not vote or vote third party (same effect on the lives of the unborn)
Option two will give the unborn the best chance to live. It is a Christians duty to vote for McCain and following the Biblical Principle of Valuing Life! Again, unless you are breaking a biblical command by voting for McCain, you must do so if you believe in following biblical principles.
I know the argument about the qualifications for a judge given to Moses. If we were choosing a president out of all the people in the nation, those verses would be applicable. However, God in His providence chosen that McCain or Obama will win the next presidency. Our job is then to select the one that will more closely follow God's principles.
I hope and pray that God will give you wisdom as you go to the polls tomorrow!
Have a great day! Be praying tomorrow!
David
P.S. This isn't the defense I was talking about, but it will have to do. I'll post the whole essay later after the election (it will still be applicable to future elections).

Father's Day
Just wanted to say that I haven't exactly fallen off the face of the earth and that I am still alive. Also, it's good to see this here blog is still it's same good lookin' blue self. Anyways, with that said, I need your help. As you know, Father's Day is coming up and you normally need to give him a gift. (Honestly ya'll, it's the least you could do.) Anyways, I've posted on my blog (www.somelilguy.blogspot.com) saying that I'm needing some ideas of what to get my father because I can't afford a BMW but I don't want to get him another Chipotle gift card. So, you could leave a comment on my blog, leave it here....it really doesn't matter. So if you could help me out (and possibly other readers) that would just be tickle-my-toes-awesome! Anyways, have fun.

Quote from the GOP Debate
"What we have today in the world is four major, if you will, strategies at play. One, they're the nations with the energy, like Russia. They're trying to use energy as a way to take over the world.
Then there's China, which is saying we're going to use communism, plus sort of a Wild West form of a free enterprise. We're going to give nuclear weapons -- or nuclear technology to the Iranians, we're going to buy oil from the Sudanese. You've got China.
Then you've got al Qaeda, which says we want to bring everybody down.
And then finally there's us, the only major power in the world that says we believe in free enterprise and freedom for the individual. And this great battle is going on right now, and it's essential for us to strengthen other friends like ourselves, and to confront one by one these other strategies and help turn them towards modernity so that the world our kids inherent does not have to know war."

Roger Clemens
For you who are uneducated, Roger Clemens was accused of using steroids and HGH. I have looked into the issue some and it really fascinates me.
Have Fun,
