On Sunday, all The Six Nuts, and their families, the Storrie family, Chartier family, and Langemann family, all converged on the Morgan's home and had a "Thank You" Party. T'was fun. There was amazingly good food, games of badminton, lil' spurts of basketball here and there, interesting political conversations, hilarious slideshows, and of course, football. [There was even some strange stories being told. =)] And, by golly, the Grads&Bros (the name soon to change) got to sing again and boy, were they flawless! (He-He! They were flawless, counting me out.)
The reason for the party was for all the people who had helped with Jerry's, Jeorge's, and my graduation ceremony and party. It was definetly a team effort and we are incredibly grateful to everybody for there servant's heart. It could not have been done without everybody's help and we thank you for it!

Hmmm... a new name for the Grads&Bros. How about the Brotherhood of the Vocal Chords? ;)
How about:
The Croaking Brotherhood
No, no, no you all sounded marvelous! I think that you should make a CD on of these days! :) And we are all thankful that we were able to do a very, very, very small part in helping! It was loads of fun and we love the memories we were able to make with you all!!
Everyone did great. Everyone had fun.
Yum-yum, you did a huge part! Cakes are very important, are they not?
It was fun. :) And the singing did go well, especially considering that we hadn't practiced for weeks. We do need a new name, but... Imagine calling a nursing home: "Hi, I'm with the Croaking Brotherhood and we'd like to come present a program..."
That could pose a few problems. :)
I'll make the call! I think I could have some fun with that.
I've heard some people suggest the "Faithful Men." But the Croaking Brotherhood? Did we sound that bad? I kind of thought we sounded pretty good. Andrew, I don't think mom would let you make that phone call for the "Croaking Brotherhood." Sorry. Any other group name suggestions?
The Great Eight, The Humble Howlers, The Happy Hippies, The Brilliant Blokes, The Cheery Chums, The Clever Collaboration of Compatriots... the list is endless. But I think that calling ourselves "Faithful Men" is rather...um...proud...maybe? At any rate, I don't like it.
1 vote for "The Cheery Chums"
Jeorge, if you want to be the "Happy Hippies," you'll all have to grow your hair out long and start driving an old VW beetle. And as for all of you other alliterations I don't think that Mrs. Washburn would let you sing at the conference next year with any of those. I still vote for the "Brotherhood of the Vocal Chords" You could paraphrase Shakespeare as your source, "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers we. For he who sings with me today is my brother."
I like "The Humble Howlers"
Although...now that I think of it...the "Brotherhood of the Vocal Chords" ain't that bad. I mean, you could put some of them together, like "The Humble Brotherhood of the Howling Vocal Chords."
THBHVC for short.
Interesting suggestions all, none of which I can well imagine in a program or on a CD cover...chums is a good word to include, but how? Or you could take a hint from bluegrass groups: Rocky Mountain Boys, Brown Mountain Boys...ha! The PlainsMen!
How 'bout The Now and Then Gentlemen?
You could put all sorts of things in to replace Now and Then: anchormen, asean, ballpoint pen, broody hen, c. n. n., cactus wren, cattle pen, councilmen, fill again, fountain pen, guinea hen, handymen, jenny wren, jungle hen, maori hen, once again, only when, patrolmen, setting hen, then again, tienanmen, water hen, winter wren...
...The Dead Ringer Singers...The Balsa Wood Brotherhood...The Clenched Fist Vocalists...The Prairie Schooner Crooners...The Outweighed Serenade... Like I said, the list is endless.
I've got one!!
The Boosom Friends...or even...the kindred spirits...or how 'bout... The Lollipop Kin...see....I can do it too! :)
Oooh...I thought of another one...The Wise Guys...or even...Ol' Feller Yellers...hmmm...I like this game...I shall think of some more! :)
I like the "Humble Brotherhood of the Howling Vocal Cords" although it's awfully long. How about these:
The Lowly Warblers
The Obsequious Twitterers
The Duteous Yodelers
go with the The Happy Hippies one cause then you could preform anywhere in boulder!!!!!!!
